Mike has lived in Orland Park for 21 years and is an active member of the community. He is the senior vice president of a world's leading engineering and professional services firm where he manages capital development programs in the civil, transportation, and railroad industries. Mike and his wife can be found cheering on their two children at school sporting events. Mike spent many years coaching sports, served on the D135 Finance and Operations Advisory Board, and currently serves on the Village of Orland Park Recreation Advisory Board.



Dear Consolidated High School District 230 constituents,

It is with great enthusiasm that I formally announce my candidacy for the position of School Board Member for D230. I respectfully seek your vote on the April 1, 2025, election or by early voting ballot.

I made Orland Park my home over 22 years ago. I’m a husband and father of two amazing children. My high school days shaped my life, from meeting my wife to pursuing higher education and seeking opportunities for community involvement. Today is my opportunity to inspire our high schoolers and have policies in place to ensure our children will be future ready and have safe and effective learning environments.

For the past 15 years, I have volunteered as a baseball, basketball and soccer coach. I have served as an Advisory Board Member for D135 Finance and Operations Committee, and I currently serve as a Member of the Village of Orland Park Recreation Advisory Board. My son will graduate from Carl Sandburg HS this school year and will pursue a Pre-Medicine major in the fall and my daughter will be an incoming freshman at Carl Sandburg HS.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies from the University of Illinois Urbana/Champaign. My professional career began as a residential Project Architect, collaborating with design and architecture teams on several large residential planned developments throughout Chicago. Once my son was born, my career focus shifted to Construction Management which allowed me to spend more time with my family. As a Construction Manager, I oversaw construction projects including, elementary & high school renovation projects, hospital renovation, road & bridge projects, and railroad station & facility projects. I’m currently employed by a world’s leading engineering and professional services firm, as s Senior Vice President, I manage major capital development programs in the civil, transportation, and railroad industries. My area of expertise is procurement, change management, and compliance with contract documents. I enjoy mentoring recent graduates and younger staff.
